RETAIL SALES Assistant: Part-time

Looking for a friendly, motivated and responsible individual to work weekend hours in our retail shop. You must have flower & plant knowledge with a friendly demeanor and enjoy communicating with retail customers. You will also assure all orders are organized and be willing to jump into a task as needed in a small + growing business. This position offers opportunities to assist the small creative team with floral design work.

REQUIREMENTS:

Enthusiastic about flowers with Flower/Plant knowledge

Friendly demeanor

Reliable and responsible with a strong work ethic

Must be available for Saturday + Sunday shop hours each week, with possibly more during holiday + wedding season

Available during holiday times (specifically Valentine’s Day + Mother’s Day)

Ability to effectively communicate and work as a team

Detail-oriented

Willingness to take initiative

Drivers license and personal vehicle

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provide personalized assistance to customers for store + phone + email sales by engaging customers in a welcoming manner to determine their needs

Support e-commerce sales by preparing online orders for delivery or pickup

Prepping/packing orders from store, phone or email orders

Organize weekly shop orders

Processing flowers

Caring for plants

Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workspace

Opening and closing shop tasks

Floral deliveries and pick-ups for retail shop needs and events (must have valid drivers license and vehicle)

This is a part-time, approximately 10-12 hour a week hourly position to start. $18-22/hour dependent on experience. We are looking to hire for this position asap.
