Floral Designer/Retail Assistant: Part-time

Looking to hire a part-time Floral Designer/Retail Assistant position to join our team for both everyday/shop flowers and event work.

Ideal candidate has worked as a florist or has freelanced for a couple of years as an event floral designer. You must have flower & plant knowledge with a friendly demeanor, be motivated and responsible and be willing to jump into a task as needed in a small + growing business. This position has room to grow consisting of a small & welcoming creative team.

Day to day responsibilities include but not limited to:

Designing wrapped bouquets and vase arrangements for retail customers

Designing a variety of arrangements for weddings + events under a lead designer’s direction during event season

Processing flowers

Taking phone orders and filling online orders

Caring for plants

Assisting with social media photo and video content as needed

Floral deliveries and pick-ups for retail shop needs and events (must have valid drivers license and vehicle)

Additional Shop responsibilities:

Engage customers in a welcoming manner to determine their needs

Prepping/packing orders

Opening and closing shop tasks including sharing cleaning responsibilities

REQUIREMENTS:

Florist experience

Enthusiastic about flowers with Flower/Plant knowledge

Reliable and responsible with a strong work ethic

Friendly demeanor

Ability to effectively communicate and work as a team

Detail-oriented

Willingness to take initiative

Must be available Fri-Sat during wedding season and during holidays

Drivers license and personal vehicle

This is a part-time, approximately 20 hour a week hourly position to start with room to grow. $20-25/hour dependent on experience. We are looking to hire for this position asap.
